Testimonials:
“I have worked with Mark over many projects - too many to count. Simply put, he is exceptional in his professionalism and talent. In a vast sea of side-gig photographers, Mark is truly a diamond in the rough. He takes the time to truly understand your creative vision, goes the extra mile by asking the detailed questions that most do not, and then he asks more questions to uncover things that you haven't thought about. When he executes, he doesn't cut corners and commits himself to the creative vision. On several occasions he would shoot a project, deliver the photos, then come back to me to say that they weren't perfect and he'd like to go back to shoot them again - and they were perfect. It is a rare treat to work with Mark, not only as an extremely talented professional, but also as a friend. Any work that Mark does, will become your gold standard.”

About Me
Hi — I'm Mark Johnson – a photographer, designer, and maker based in Calgary, Alberta.
My background blends science and creativity, with a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science and a Design Diploma in Exhibit Presentation.
I'm constantly expanding my creative toolkit – educated graphic designer, self-taught woodworker, amateur potter, avid skier, and professional photographer. This diverse skill set allows me to approach projects from unique angles and creates interesting intersections in my work.
My philosophy is simple: create things that work beautifully and last. Whether I'm capturing images, designing spaces, or crafting objects, I enjoy things that get better over time.
When not working with clients, you'll find me skiing in the Rockies, building furniture in my workshop, or finding new ways to stay active and creative.
